Congratulations to one of Valerin’s newest employee’s, Dakota Larsen, for her recent success on the one-hour documentary “The Skyway Bridge Disaster”! The film centers on the 1980 Sunshine Skyway Bridge collapse that occurred in Tampa, FL. This historic event was one of the worst bridge collapses in U.S. history, claiming the lives of 35 people. The tragedy also led to new and improved safety improvements in bridge design with the 270-million-dollar construction of a new Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The iconic new structure became a model with an emphasis on safety in bridge design. Dakota was involved in all aspects of video production for this film and was the lead cinematographer and editor. She also assisted with research and script writing. The “Sunshine Skyway Bridge Disaster” premiered at The Tampa Theatre for two sold-out shows and was a huge success. The documentary is NOW AVAILABLE to rent for audiences worldwide on Amazon Prime! Be sure to check it out, and great job Dakota!
